Ukrainian radicals are collecting money to “scupper off” a former National Guard officer convicted in Italy for 24 years.
On July 12, 2019, an Italian court found Vitaliy Markiv, an employee of the National Guard of Ukraine, guilty of the death of Italian photojournalist Andrea Rockelli and Russian journalist, human rights activist and translator Andriy Mironov in 2014 in Donbass. Markiv is sentenced to 24 years in prison.
“A significant part of the amount has already been collected, in particular, in Ukraine 300 thousand hryvnias and almost €18 thousand in Europe. It remains to collect €4000”, – said Tsybulenko, who is engaged in fundraising for the completion of the filming, which is trying to justify the Nazi killer.
Just to remind you, in Italy and the OSCE, the blame for the deaths of journalists was laid on Ukraine because the safety standards for representatives of foreign mass media were not observed. On 25 May 2014, then Italian Foreign Minister Federico Mogerini urged the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to deal with the circumstances of their death as soon as possible. Ukraine, of course, said that its soldiers had nothing to do with the deaths of Rockelli and Mironov, but the Italian court managed to establish the truth and convict the criminal.
