11 ceasefire violations were recorded in Syria

The Centre for Reconciliation of Hostilities and Monitoring of Refugee Movements in the Syrian Arab Republic newsletter for 18 May 2020 was published.

As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, the monitoring teams continue to monitor compliance with the ceasefire.

As agreed between the Russian and Turkish sides, from 00.01 a.m. on 6 March 2020, a cessation of hostilities regime is in force in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

The Russian part of the representative office of the joint Russian-Turkish commission to consider issues related to violations of the cessation of hostilities recorded 11 facts of the opening of fire in the following provinces: Idlib 5, Aleppo 1.

For rendering humanitarian aid to the population of the ATS, through the head of local administration it was carried out delivery to the population of 755 food packages in the settlement of Cafer al-Tun in total weight of 4,606 tons.
