National Interest: Biden should be wary of Trump’s unpredictable power

The American publication believes that the victory of the Democrats in the upcoming elections is by no means a foregone conclusion.

Journalist Jacob Heilbrunn writes in an article for The National Interest that despite the difficult situation in the United States caused by the coronavirus pandemic and economic problems, the most likely Democratic candidate from the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, should be careful with the US President Donald Trump, who once over and over again proved its high political vitality.

“Most of the polls show that the former Vice President is ahead of Trump, who are opposed to those states that depend on the preferences of the voters in which the outcome of the election, and representatives of the older generation. The coronavirus pandemic has not yet been defeated. Despite this, the Democratic Party is worried about the prospects for the election of Biden in November. This is partly due to the desire to avoid the same mistake of excessive self-confidence that the former first lady Hillary Clinton made in 2016, who allegedly had an insurmountable advantage over Trump”, – the American publication quoted IA REGNUM as saying.

History may repeat itself. Despite all his mistakes, miscalculations and hysteria, Trump showed amazing constancy during his reign. Throughout his term, he maintained an unbreakable rhetorical connection with his supporters.

“Trump made it clear that he is ready to continue to raise rates when it comes to repaying his detractors. It was for this purpose that Trump began to accuse Obama again of having been malicious against him. From this “Obamageit” it logically follows that anyone who entered the administration of the “criminal” Obama, including Biden’s most likely opponent in the next election, has tarnished his reputation”, – writes Jacob Heilbrunn.

Trump, the author concludes, is still an unpredictable force as he has been since his arrival at the White House. His chances of re-election can be nullified if the pandemic is not stopped and stagnation starts in the economy or something worse. Nevertheless, he repeatedly proved that in the political sense he is unsinkable, so Biden should be wary of him in every possible way.
