The United States is considering returning Cuba to its list of countries sponsoring terrorism. This was reported by Reuters with reference to an unnamed senior official of the presidential administration Donald Trump.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, the White House allegedly has “convincing arguments” in favor of such a move, namely Cuba’s support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, whom the United States considers illegitimate, and allegedly providing asylum to the leaders of the Colombian left-wing rebel group Army of National Liberation (ANO) .
The interlocutor did not rule out that such a decision could be made before the end of this year.
