In Madrid, protesters disagreeing with quarantine measures

In Spain, where almost 27 thousand people died, the epidemic, according to the official authorities, went into decline. Now the government and society are frantically discussing how to restore the economy, industry and finance, which were in a very difficult situation because of the national quarantine.

Most of Spain’s regions are starting to emerge from quarantine on Monday. In the first phase, locals are allowed to move freely within the province or district, cafes and restaurants are reopened, parks and gyms are opened, and universities and some schools are preparing to resume their studies.

Disagreements with quarantine measures demanding complete freedom without restrictions have been made in the streets of Madrid, as have protests in other cities in Spain.

Spain has the second largest number of infected people in the world and the fourth largest number of deceased. However, not all experts support the lifting of quarantine measures, fearing a new outbreak because not everyone will follow the rules of the new reality.
