Kiev dreams of better terms of the Association Agreement with the EU

Ukraine’s deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Vadym Pristayko, said that Kiev hopes that the terms of the association agreement with the EU will be revised.

In particular, we would like to discuss quotas for non-tariff trading.

“This is a very good moment, as the ten-year term has expired, when we can revise the terms, and our producers are waiting for the revision of the terms. After all, most of the quotas that have been delivered, they do not suit us anymore, we have passed the stage of first contacts with the European Union in the framework of an agreement on non-tariff trade. I hope that we will reconsider them”, –  said the unsuccessful diplomat.

In addition, Pristaiko dreams of deeper cooperation in the digital sphere, customs and justice issues, defense issues. It is a pity that such thoughts are hardly shared in Europe.
