In Poltava, vandals, with the tacit assistance of the authorities, abused the Monument to the Heroes of the Soviet Union on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The monument, which was erected in autumn 2008 in a park at the intersection of September 23 and Heroes of Stalingrad, is almost destroyed. There is no information about the reaction of law enforcement agencies.
