On the eve of the start of the work of the nuclear power plant, Minsk and Moscow reached an understanding on changing the terms of the loan of the Russian Federation at BelAES.
Deputy Minister of Energy of Belarus Mikhail Mikhadiuk said at a press conference that the physical launch of the first unit of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), which marks the beginning of the loading of nuclear fuel, is scheduled to begin in July 2020.
“According to the schedule, such readiness will be provided in the month of July,” he said.
In addition, the Ministry of Energy of Belarus clarified that Minsk and Moscow reached an understanding on changing the terms of the loan of the Russian Federation at BelAES, the documents are already at the final approval stage.
