In Iraq, protests against the new prime minister began

Hundreds of protesters opposing Iraq’s ruling political class marched on Tahrir Square in central Baghdad to express their distrust of the government of Prime Minister Mustafa al-Qazemi.

This is the first demonstration against the government of Kazemi. It began a few hours after the composition of the cabinet was approved by parliament.

Demonstrators waved Iraqi flags and chanted: “This is a government of quotas, parties and militias,” as well as “People want to overthrow the regime.”
