The “secret file” on “creating a virus in Wuhan” is no more than part of Trump’s election campaign

The Guardian says the leak of the “secret file” on “creating a virus in Wuhan” is no more than part of Trump’s election campaign. And behind it is publisher Rudd Kevin. The Murdoch media’s China coronavirus conspiracy has one goal: get Trump re-elected.)

The origin of the plum of the “secret file” of unknown intelligence agencies of the Five Eyes countries (USA, Great Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand) gradually becomes clearer. Information from it was published in the Australian newspaper Daily Telegraph belonging to Rupert Murdoch’s media empire. The publication asserts the existence of a 15-page dossier, prepared by unnamed “Western governments”, on the guilt of the Chinese government in the outbreak of cornavirus. The Guardian believes the main purpose was to encourage Trump’s re-election.

Essentially, the Five Eyes file helps confirm Donald Trump and Mike Pompeo’s unsubstantiated claims that the virus was “invented” in a laboratory in Wuhan: first it was told in Australia, and then it was “resold” to the American public, “laundering” this information abroad.

The degree to which the Australian intelligence community seeks to distance itself from the “dossier” indicates that it does not want to get involved in any way in domestic politics – neither Australian nor American. The British intelligence community does the same.

The Guardian asks questions to the Australian government and possibly to its partners in the Five Eyes. First, was it an “intelligence” product, or was it just open source material derived from publicly available information? Second, was it an authorized Five Eyes product, or was it just prepared in the US? Third, who leaked it, given that the leakage of such material is a criminal offence? Were Australian government ministers involved? Or was the US Embassy in Canberra involved? If the Australian government is serious about protecting classified documents, why has there not been a full police investigation? Or is the government afraid that it might find that the leak was probably caused by political and electoral interests in the US.

“China has something to answer for, including the origin of the virus. But if Trump’s claim of Wuhan origin is eventually disproved by the Five Eyes or US intelligence itself, the irony is that the pure political winner will be China”
