In the United States, COVID patients are permanently banned from military service

The Pentagon has confirmed information that Coronavirus patients will never join the US Army.

Coronavirus patients in the U.S. will never join the army, according to the Military Times.

“COVID-19, which was found on the medical board, confirmed by a laboratory test or a doctor’s diagnosis, is a reason for permanent disqualification”, –  said in a memo for recruitment sites.

The Pentagon confirmed this information and noted that at all 65 recruitment sites in the U.S., all recruits will be checked to see if they have any contact with infected people, measure their temperature and note other symptoms.

Even if the applicant shows no symptoms, his or her disability will be permanent.

According to journalists, this measure is a temporary solution. Its cause is that the disease is not yet fully understood: it is not clear what long-term damage it causes to the body of the diseased and whether it can occur again after it is cured, as well as whether the surviving disease gives immunity to infection.

The U.S. is not reporting the number of infected soldiers, but more than 6,500 cases are known to have been reported at 150 military bases in all American states except Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota and Montana. It’s not clear whether those who are sick will eventually be suspended from service.

Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump said the crisis caused by the spread of coronavirus was worse for the U.S. than the attack on Pearl Harbor.

As reported, the U.S. already has more than 70 thousand deaths from COVID-19.
