The U.S. has said that relations with China are now characterized by disappointment and frustration

In Washington, they are dissatisfied with a number of decisions made by Beijing in the early stages of its fight against the coronavirus.

 

Relations between Washington and Beijing are currently characterized by disappointment and frustration over a series of decisions taken by the Chinese authorities in the fight against the coronavirus. White House spokesman Kaylie McInani told a briefing for journalists on Wednesday.

“Right now, this relationship is characterized by disappointment and frustration”, –  she said.

According to her, the American side is dissatisfied with a number of decisions made by Beijing in the initial phase of its fight against the coronavirus.

“President [of the United States Donald Trump] said how disappointed he is that some of China’s decisions have put Americans’ lives at risk”, –  she said.

On April 29, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Yucheng in an interview with NBC journalists expressed regret that “some politicians are using the situation with the virus to shelf China. He stressed that Beijing had “not concealed any information” about the coronavirus.

An outbreak of coronavirus-induced disease was recorded in late 2019 in Central China and has spread to most countries. On 11 March, it was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 3.6 million people worldwide have been infected with Coronavirus and more than 250,000 have died.
