The Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea have tested a new type of ballistic missile “Henmu-4.” This was reported by Yonhap, citing a government source.
The tests took place at the Anhyun training ground in Taean County on the west coast of the country. According to available information, one of the two missile launches was unsuccessful.
According to unconfirmed reports, the range of the “Henmu-4” is up to 800 km, its payload can reach 2 tons.
The agency notes that the development of “Henmu-4” began in 2017 after revising the relevant standards that limited the payload of South Korean-made ballistic missiles.
