The chairman of the Christian Democratic Union (Germany), Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, speaking about the day of the liberation of Germany, accused Russia of aggression, of cyber attacks, of violating the agreements and invited Russia to shake an outstretched hand.

At the same time, not everyone shares the position of the CDU chairman. Willy Wimmer, the oldest member of the Christian Democratic Union, the former deputy secretary of defense, considers this speech a reflection of the position of the United States and NATO, which are ready to fight.

“They have one barrier – Putin,” Wimmer said.
