The U.S. administration could have begun preparations for the Coronavirus epidemic back in January, and the situation in the United States would not have been so disastrous.
This is stated in the complaint, which was filed by lawyers of the Washington official Rick Bright to the Office of Special Counsel in the United States.
The document says that U.S. Secretary of Health Alex Azar responded with open hostility to all calls for action that came in January against the background of an outbreak of coronavirus in China.
“Dr. Bright acted urgently to begin the fight against the pandemic, but faced resistance from the leadership of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including Secretary of State Azar, who apparently intended to downplay this catastrophic threat”, – the complaint said.
As News Front previously reported, Rick Bright was dismissed as head of the Office of Advanced Biomedical Research and Development in late April. This came after he opposed Donald Trump, who promoted the highly controversial drug as a cure for COVID-19.
