The Norwegian authorities have decided to sacrifice transatlantic unity so as not to exacerbate international tensions on the eve of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
When the North Atlantic Alliance decided to deploy provocative maneuvers in the Barents Sea without warning Russia, the Oslo adventure was considered pointless. For the command of the U.S. Sixth Fleet, this was an unpleasant surprise.
Now the NATO ship group is maneuvering in the water area, avoiding the Russian economic zone. It is expected that soon the ships will take a course to the west to take the command to Norway for participation in the festive events dedicated to the defeat of fascism in Europe on May 8.
