The “stunning crisis of democracy” has been found everywhere from Central Europe to Central Asia.
This is stated in the report of the non-governmental organization “Freedom House”, one of the largest sponsors of which is a billionaire and “architect” of color revolutions George Soros.
The study covers 29 countries and, according to the authors, they have identified the largest democracy deficit in 25 years of publication of this annual report. NGOs have criticized Hungary as a “hybrid regime” because of the adoption of the state of emergency law to combat COVID-19. Poland also disappointed Soros structures with attempts by local ruling elites to hold scandalous elections by mail.
However, Freedom House lamented Brussels’ failure to respond adequately to the actions of EU members. U.S. President Donald Trump was also “unable to stand up for democracy in the region,” the report says.
The authors expressed their fears about the situation in the Balkans. It is claimed that Serbia and Montenegro “are no longer classified as democracies for the first time since 2003”.
