The Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have shown the importance of the 75th anniversary of the Victory by agreeing a joint statement on the anniversary of the meeting on the Elbe, spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov is convinced.
“The main thing is that this anniversary is important for many. By the way, our presidents also demonstrated it – I mean the president of Russia and the President of the United States, who agreed and published a joint statement on the anniversary of the meeting on the Elbe. It was very important”, – Peskov told the reporters.
He noted that this anniversary is a significant date for the whole world.
“But for us it is, above all, the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. Therefore, this celebration will take place, Putin said this”, – the Kremlin representative added.
