China, like everyone else, suffered from a coronavirus, but in the US they should see the enemy not in China, but in the virus, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said on Thursday.
The US President Donald Trump said earlier in an interview with Reuters that he was considering various options for the consequences that could be for China due to the coronavirus.
“Regarding the issue of liability, we have said more than once that the virus is the common enemy of all mankind. China is also the affected party and not the “accomplice” of the virus. Individuals in the US should clearly know that their enemy is the virus, and not China”, – the reporters quoted Geng Shuang as saying.
He emphasized that the international community, in the face of the global health crisis, should unite. At the same time, the United States must understand that in an epidemic, everyone must work together to overcome the problem.
