The EU and NATO should consider new ways to ensure security in Europe.
This is stated in the report of the international crisis group funded by George Soros.
The authors of the document, among other things, suggest looking for joint approaches with Moscow to ensure international security. It is emphasized that building a dialogue with Russia is necessary, despite the support of Ukraine.
“Member states of the European Union and NATO, including the United States, should begin to search for new methods of ensuring European security together with Moscow,” the report says.
According to the idea, it is necessary that “Russia, its neighbors and the entire continent” feel more secure. At the same time, it is proposed to review the sanctions policy. The International Crisis Group believes that partial lifting of sanctions is possible if “Russia will contribute to real progress towards peace.”
