Spain has refused NATO assistance

According to the publication, in March, Spain required masks, express-tests, IVL machines. However, the kingdom has received less than ten percent of the requested.

“Spain currently does not require any additional assistance from NATO countries”, –  the newspaper quotes a letter sent by Madrid to the headquarters of the North Atlantic Alliance.

At the same time, Spain called the “invaluable” support it received from Lithuania, Estonia, Turkey, Poland, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg and Germany. These countries provided her with personal protective equipment and disinfectants, as well as equipment.

“Lithuania, Estonia, and Turkey, which provided assistance to Spain, did so in response to military support: Spanish fighter jets patrol the borders of Baltic countries, and Spanish specialists maintain missile batteries on the Turkish-Syrian border”, –  the article stresses.
