Lavrov says pandemic show interdependence of all countries

All the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic have yet to be recognized, but the crisis has clearly shown the interdependence and interconnectedness of all states, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“So far, the final understanding of the fullness of the consequences has not yet come. Probably, some conclusions can already be made at this stage. And the main of these conclusions, in my opinion, is that the crisis has clearly demonstrated, extremely clearly demonstrated, if anyone needed to prove something, the interdependence, interconnectedness of all states without exception, all areas of life in the modern world”, – the Minister said during his online lecture for students of MGIMO.

The World Health Organization on March 11 announced an outbreak of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 with a pandemic. According to the latest WHO data, more than 2.8 million cases of infection have been recorded in the world, over 193 thousand people have died.
