DPRK’s Nodong Sinmun Central Newspaper reported earlier that Kim Jong-un continues to work on documents, sending a message of gratitude to the construction workers of the tourist zone on Wonsan Kalma’s east coast.
Earlier, CNN quoted a source in the U.S. administration as saying that Washington is studying intelligence about the deteriorating health of DPRK leader Kim Jong-un after his alleged surgery. U.S. President Donald Trump later said at a briefing that according to him, media information is not true. South Korean authorities also claimed that there were no data on Kim Jong-un’s illness, and the Chinese Foreign Ministry questioned CNN’s source of information. These allegations are also not confirmed by informed sources in Pyongyang.
The DPRK leader has not appeared in public since April 11, when he held a meeting of the political bureau of the Central Committee of the Korean Labor Party (CCP) on domestic policy. In particular, Kim Jong-un did not attend the annual session of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPC) on 12 April and did not attend the ceremonial ceremony at Kimsun Palace on 15 April to celebrate the 108th anniversary of Kim Il-sung’s birth. Kim Jong-un’s absence from the ranks of the country’s leadership on the main national holiday gave rise to rumors of a possible illness of the DPRK leader, which at present are not commented on by officials of the People’s Republic.
