At least six members of the Afghan security forces were killed, four were captured as a result of an attack by militants of the radical Taliban movement in Logar province in eastern Afghanistan, a local source told the reporters.
According to the source, the attack occurred in Baraki Barak County.
As the former head of the district, Rakhimuddin Amin, told RIA Novosti, the Taliban carried out a series of attacks, after which clashes occurred between them and the Afghan security forces at one of the checkpoints.
According to Tolo News, the radical Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attacks.
In Afghanistan, there is a confrontation between government forces and militants of the radical Taliban movement, which had previously captured a significant territory in rural areas of the country and launched an attack on large cities. Also, the influence of the Islamic State terrorist group* has intensified in the country.
