Russia sent a large consignment of equipment for rescuers to Serbia as part of assistance in the fight against coronavirus infection COVID-19.

The equipment was sent in response to a request from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia. So, over 3 thousand sets of equipment, including protective masks and overalls, were transferred to the rescuers of the Balkan country.
“The Russian-Serbian humanitarian center, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies, in the framework of assisting Serbian firefighters to work safely in the conditions of the spread of coronavirus infection, handed over 3,000 sets of equipment,” the Russian department said in a statement.
As News Front previously reported, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Serbia tried to turn to the European Union for help, but could not even acquire the necessary medical equipment there due to the export ban.
