This was announced on Saturday, April 25, at the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the agency, the consolidated Russian-Serbian calculations of radiation, chemical and biological defense forces carried out disinfection in Zaechar, Knyazhevac and Belgrade.

In particular, Russian specialists sanitized one of the largest gerontological centers in the Serbian capital. This is due to the fact that older people are at risk and most difficult to tolerate coronavirus infection due to weakened immunity.

Disinfection of the premises was carried out using special alcohol solutions. The adjacent territory of the center was processed using ARS-14 KM auto-filling stations.

In addition, Russian medical and nursing teams worked in hospitals in Belgrade, Chupria and Parachin. They assisted in the examination and treatment of more than two dozen patients infected with COVID-19.

As News Front previously reported, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Serbia tried to turn to the European Union for help, but could not even acquire the necessary medical equipment there due to the export ban.

When Belgrade sent a request to Moscow, Russia sent 11 planes to Serbia, delivering eight medical teams, radiation, chemical and biological protection specialists, disinfection equipment, and medical supplies and equipment.
