Washington is ready to allocate up to $ 1.5 million to “support democracy” in the Arab Republic.
According to the Russia Today agency, the US Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor will allocate up to $ 1.5 million for projects to “support democracy, human rights and the rule of law in Syria.”
“The State Department intends to promote the activities of activists, create alliances and network associations, as well as provide human rights assistance. It is also about strengthening the interaction of civil society with local authorities,” the report said.
What this “aid” of the United States in Syria is well-known. It will not be amiss to recall the examples of Ukraine, Libya, Iraq, Egypt and other countries where the United States helped “promote democratic institutions.”
