Trump promises to sign the U.S. Suspension of Immigration Order

U.S. President Donald Trump said he would sign a decree suspending immigration to the country.

“In light of an invisible enemy attack and the need to protect the jobs of our great American citizens, I will sign a decree suspending immigration to the United States!” – he wrote.

Trump did not specify how long the suspension would last or when the decision would come into effect.

Moreover, it is unclear whether the U.S. president communicated his intention to the leaders of other countries before declaring it on the social network.

The suspension of all immigration would extend the travel restrictions already imposed by the Trump administration on most countries in Europe, China, Canada, Mexico, Iran and South Korea.

Trump spent most of his presidency insisting on restricting immigration to the United States. One of the main promises of his election campaign in 2016 was the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico. .
