Russia is no longer considered “aggressor” in Poland

Coronavirus forced Western countries to revise Russophobic policies, but it is unacceptable to deviate too much from it.

Such an appeal was made by the Polish analyst in the field of international security Marek Schverchinsky.

He lamented how quickly the transatlantic community forgot about “Russian aggression” and “Chinese expansion”, when a real threat came in the form of a pandemic. According to Russophobe, now Moscow and Beijing have the opportunity to “divert attention from the threats that they pose”.

In particular, he was indignant at the fact that China, which actually became the source of the coronavirus, emerged victorious from this story. Having overcome the outbreak of COVID-19 on its territory, the Chinese authorities began to help other countries fight the virus. A Polish analyst calls this approach unacceptable.

“Under the influence of the pandemic, we are also revising the security policy, but not so much, because naivety will cost us too much”, – Schverchinsky said.
