Coronavirus in the US: Trump wants election crisis solved, Democrats want total control

The coronavirus epidemic has turned into another political confrontation in the United States.

This was reported by the agency “Associated Press” on Saturday, April 18.

The dispute over quarantine restrictions for journalists was commented by Laura Herd of Traverse City, an environmental news service employee. She praised the decision of Michigan State Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer to introduce one of the toughest quarantines in the country. According to her, she “sleeps much calmer” in this environment.

At the same time, U.S. President Donald Trump Herd harshly criticized the actions of the U.S. President, saying that he does not understand what he is doing trying to restore the country’s economy by the November presidential elections.

As noted in the publication, Herd’s position is shared by many of her gathered democrats. If Trump has expressed the desire to begin easing quarantine throughout the country by May, Democratic Party governors have made it clear that tight control over the population will continue for as long as they deem necessary.

The most disconcerting of these actions, however, is that of health workers. They are concerned about the exploitation of the coronavirus epidemic for political purposes. Medics believe that this approach will only exacerbate the situation with the spread of COVID-19.

“You will get more sick people, more at risk of increased mortality due to confusion, because people won’t know what to do”, –  commented George Benjamin, Executive Director of the American Public Health Association.
