The USA does not see any malicious intent in the interception by the Su-35 fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces of the American naval patrol aircraft P-8A Poseidon over the Mediterranean Sea. This was announced by the Supreme Commander of the Joint Armed Forces of NATO in Europe Tod Walters.

“This is certainly annoying. I studied this record, studied the intention. And my conclusion at this stage is that this was probably more wrong than an act of aggression, ” said the commander in chief of NATO Allied Forces.

An investigation is underway in the United States.

“We are investigating. As you know, we do this in all cases. And our diplomatic mission in Moscow, of course, has already begun a conversation with the authorities in Moscow to ensure that they are fully aware of our dissatisfaction with what happened, ” said the commander of the US Air Force General Walters.
