Regarding the situation in Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Health reported an increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus to 2,350 people in the country.

The pandemic is fast approaching North Africa as well. So far, mostly all those who have fallen ill are people who came from other countries, or those who have had contact with the infected. All of them are in special isolation units under the strict supervision of doctors.

In Egypt, a curfew has been imposed since March 25th. Streets are patrolled by military, police and medical personnel. This was done to reduce the risk of disease throughout the state. Until April 15, Egypt blocked all communications with other countries. According to observers, Egypt is not so bad yet. The central part of the country can contain the infection, as the level of technology there is not far behind European. But deep down in the power could be a real tragedy. For the same Bedouin tribes, the virus could become fatal. In the desert areas, there’s neither modern technology nor a decent level of healthcare.
