Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova advised the United States to start attracting coronavirus pandemics involved in the New York Times.
The US Secretary of State threatened to prosecute all those involved in the misinformation about the pandemic.
“Start with the New York Times. Putin’s long war against American science is a masterpiece”, – Zakharova wrote on Facebook.
The New York Times published an article authored by William Broad, in which it accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of involvement in spreading false information about deadly diseases and attacks on important public institutions.
He does not make any serious arguments and refers to interviews, articles, news reports, tweets and television shows.
Earlier, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in an interview with the American radio station Good Morning Orlando that the United States would in due time prosecute those who did not fully provide information about coronavirus or participated in misinformation.
The World Health Organization on March 11 announced an outbreak of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 with a pandemic. According to WHO, more than 1.7 million cases of infection have been recorded in the world, more than 111 thousand people have died.
