Russian EMERCOM to send overalls and masks to Serbia to combat COVID-19

EMERCOM of Russia will send humanitarian assistance to Serbia to protect local firefighters from coronavirus infection, the ministry’s Press Service told the reporters on Tuesday.

In addition, the Russian military continues to work in Serbia, at the request of Belgrade, helping to disinfect local institutions.

“The Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center will assist colleagues from a friendly state in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection. Protective equipment and personal protective means for the work of fire departments of the Emergency Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia will be transferred in the near future”, – the agency’s source said.

According to it , these are over 3000 sets of protective masks and insulating overalls. 85 people died from coronavirus in Serbia, more than 4 thousand infected were recorded.
