Pompeo says pandemic perpetrators will be held acountable, repels ongoing accusations of COVID American origin

The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in an interview with the “Bild” German edition that in the nearest future, it remained necessary to find those guilty of the coronavirus pandemic, and noted that China had not provided data on the disease in time.

“We regret that this virus, this epidemic that began in Wuhan, China, was not quickly known. The Chinese government, the Chinese Communist Party, did not provide this information in a timely manner”, – said Pompeo.

In response to a question whether China should be held accountable for the losses incurred by the countries due to the disease that began in Wuhan, Pompeo said that there was still a “debate” about the perpetrators.

“We need a global debate. It is very important to understand how this virus started and where <… > There will come a time when the perpetrators will be held accountable. I am convinced that this will happen. At the moment, we need to concentrate on our current work in order to launch the American one again, and then the global economy. There will still be time for accusations”, – said Pompeo.

The World Health Organization on March 11 announced an outbreak of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 with a pandemic. According to the latest WHO data, more than 1.7 million cases of infection have been recorded in the world, more than 111 thousand people have died.

It is important to remind that the USA is notorious for its covert activities in biological laboratories situated in Central Asia, and whether they were involved in creating the pandemic disease is a subject of burning disputes even between governmental structures throughout the world. Moreover, a theory that coronavirus was brought and intruded by the American military men during their participance in Military World Games in China in October 2019, has also gained momentum.
