Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan expressed protest over the article on the Chinese site titled “Why Kazakhstan is seeking to return to China” and sent a note of protest to China, “zakon.kz” reports.
On April 14, it became known that a meeting with the Chinese ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhang Xiao, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the Kazakh side protested over the article on the Chinese website www.sohu.com titled “Why Kazakhstan Tends to Return to China”, the Department’s statement said.
The Chinese ambassador was informed that the publication of such an article was not in line with the spirit of an eternal comprehensive strategic partnership between countries. The parties agreed to closely cooperate in the field of disseminating information and the media.
Also, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Beijing sent a note of protest to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
