President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky promised Ukrainian scientists to pay a premium of at least $ 1 million when they invented a vaccine or a medicine for coronavirus infection COVID-19.
“I will tell you a secret. The President asked me to write letters to our academics and promised that if someone invents a vaccine or medicine, they will receive at least $ 1 million, ”Viktor Lyashko, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, quoted LB.ua as saying.
He noted that the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine is now developing according to an optimistic scenario.
Lyashko expressed the hope that the peak incidence will occur next week.
According to the Ministry of Health, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Ukraine has grown to 2777.
