There is one solution that separates the EU from the collapse: Italy has assessed the prospects for commonwealth

The European project has come up with a real threat of failure.

This statement was made on Thursday, April 9, by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in a comment to the BBC.

As reported by News Front, earlier Eurozone finance ministers failed to agree on a plan to support the economy against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19. The meeting lasted 16 hours, but participants never came to a decision. The second round of negotiations is expected today.

Against this background, Giuseppe Conte said that “an economic and social response is needed at the European level”. According to him, the absence of such a solution is exactly “a problem for the existence of the European Union.

“If at the European level it is not possible to work out a policy of monetary and financial nature, which would correspond to the most difficult situation since the Second World War, not only the Italians will be disappointed, but also the rest of the Europeans”, –  said Conte, stressing that “the risk of collapse will be real” if the European project fails to “breathe new life.
