The shortage of personal protective equipment in the United Kingdom has forced employees of one of the capital’s hospitals to use normal garbage bags.

According to the media, the incident took place in the “Northwick Park” hospital. Employees of the medical institution had to use disposable protective equipment several times. Moreover, nurses of this clinic worked with patients infected with COVID-19, just wearing garbage bags. As a result, three of them had themselves contracted a coronavirus infection.
Only then did the British Department of Health take personal control of the situation. The hospital administration had already been accused of negligence, although they claim the coronavirus came as a surprise to the staff.
