Kaylie Makinani, spokesman for the campaign to re-elect incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump in the 2020 elections, will take over as head of the White House press office. This was reported by The New York Times on Tuesday, citing sources.

The newspaper stresses that the initiator of reshuffles in the press service of the U.S. President was the new White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows. Sources of The New York Times indicate that he expects that Makinani will primarily defend the position of the American leader on television.

Besides, as the newspaper specifies, Alissa Farah, spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Defense, will transfer to the White House press service. However, the newspaper does not specify what position she will take. Earlier CNN also reported that Makinani or Farah may be replaced by Stephanie Grisham as a White House spokesman.

The White House announced on Tuesday that U.S. leader Stephanie Grisham’s spokesman is leaving his post and moving back to First Lady Melanie Trump’s office. Grisham will serve as the chief of staff and spokesperson for the wife of the American leader. The reasons for the personnel changes have not been reported.

Grisham has been a spokesperson for Trump since June 2019.
