Bloomberg reports that Russia, Saudi Arabia and other oil producers are seeking to negotiate a deal to reduce prices for oil products.
The publication refers to diplomatic sources that deal with oil industry issues.
Agreement has not yet been reached due to a number of difficulties. Including due to the delayed OPEC+ meeting. In addition, Russia and Saudi Arabia are inviting the U.S. to join the agreements, but President Donald Trump is against lowering oil prices.
G20 energy ministers may meet on April 10. Its goal is to involve Washington in the agreement. OPEC+ meeting is scheduled for April 9.
