U.S. President Donald Trump is firing civil servants for doing their job “impartially”.
This statement was made by Michael Atkinson, who was dismissed by the head of the White House as Inspector General of U.S. intelligence.
As previously reported by the News Front, Michael Atkinson assisted the Democrats in their attempt to remove Donald Trump from office. It was Atkinson who reported to the congressmen about the complaint about the telephone conversation of the US president with Vladimir Zelensky. As you know, this conversation eventually led to the start of the impeachment procedure. Trump explained the decision to replace Inspector General of Intelligence by the fact that this post should be held by a person whom the president can trust. Atkinson is no longer such a person.
However, he himself called Trump’s decision unfair. At the same time, he called his assistance to the Democrats an impartial and independent approach.
“The idea of inspectors general is that they are able to perform their key regulatory functions, because from the point of view of the law, they should not depend on the executive authorities they control, as well as on Congress”, – Atkinson stated.
Democrats have tried hard to overthrow Donald Trump as president. Initially, he was accused of collusion with Russia, which allegedly intervened in the 2016 presidential election. In this regard, a large-scale investigation was initiated, called “RussiaGate”. However, no evidence of Trump’s connection with Moscow has been found.
Later, Democrats began to accuse the head of the White House of “putting pressure” on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The fact is that Trump counted on the assistance of the new Kiev authorities in revealing information that compromised his opponent Democrat in the upcoming election, Joe Biden.
The latter, being Barack Obama’s vice president, blackmailed Petro Poroshenko by securing the dismissal of the prosecutor general who was investigating financial fraud in Biden Jr.’s company. The democrats could not allow these scandalous facts to be revealed, so they decided to counter-strike the impeachment procedure.
When the case collapsed, Trump started getting rid of the Democrats’ accomplices. John Rood was dismissed as deputy head of the Pentagon. Distributed with his chair at the U.S. National Security Council and Alexander Wyndmann, testifying against Trump. Moreover, Windman’s brother, who worked in the presidential administration’s legal service, was also dismissed.
