In Afghanistan, on Saturday, April 4, the head of the local cell of the Islamic State (IS) Aslam Faruki was detained. Together with him, another 19 jihadists were detained.
According to local intelligence, Faruki is responsible for the recent attack on the Sikh temple in Kabul, which killed 25 people and injured at least 150.
The IS cell has been active in Afghanistan since 2015. Since then, jihadists have staged a number of terrorist attacks in the country.
It is noted that in recent months the cell has been weakened; the military against Afghanistan, the United States and the militants of the radical Islamic movement Taliban are fighting against it.
