It is now forbidden in the republic to gather in groups of more than two people.
New, tougher curfew measures are being introduced in Serbia. This was announced by Serbian President Alexander Vucic in his address to citizens on Thursday.
“Since the beginning of the epidemic, we have been close to an absolute disaster several times. We have decided to tighten the curfew, which will be valid from 13:00 Saturday to 03:00 Monday”, – said Vucic. Previously, the curfew was valid on weekdays from 17:00 to 05:00, and on weekends – from 15:00 to 05:00.
In addition, according to the Serbian president, as of today it is prohibited to gather in groups of more than two people. At the same time, dog owners have made concessions – they are allowed to walk their pets within a 100 m radius from 23:00 to 01:00.
Vucic said that more and more doctors are getting sick in the country. One of the largest Belgrade clinical centers, Dragisa Mišović, has infected 47 doctors, while in the area of Zemun – five sick physicians, in the hospital “Popular Front” – 12 infected doctors.
The number of cases of coronavirus infections in Serbia has increased by 111 per day, to 1171, while the number of deaths has increased to 31. Serbia has completely closed its borders, and there is a state of emergency and curfew. Parliamentary elections have been canceled and bus and rail services have been discontinued. People over 65 years of age were prohibited from taking to the streets.
