“You’d rather help financially”. Pro-Western politicians of Moldova suggested not to play on the tragedy of citizens

The leader of the pro-Western party Action and Solidarity could support Moldovans abroad instead of being scattered in the face of an epidemic.

This statement was made by the Prime Minister of Moldova, Ion Kiku, commenting on the statements of his predecessor regarding the need to purchase a medical insurance policy upon entering the republic.

“Human misfortune is used for political purposes. It’s a pity to look at it. I can only remind such politicians about the project “Take a vote”, which they use, attracting the diaspora to the elections. To engage this project in such a difficult situation for the diaspora, providing it with a medical insurance policy is necessary now”, – the Prime Minister said.

He focused on the name of the opposition parliamentary alliance “ACUM”, led by Maya Sandu.

The Prime Minister suggested Sandu in practice to demonstrate his willingness to support compatriots. For these purposes, he also agreed to give his own salary.

“I agree, in addition to the March salary, which was aimed at combating the epidemic, to translate the April one to help people returning home to pay for a medical policy. I ask the experts on “security” to show solidarity with Moldovans abroad practically”, – stated Ion Kiku.
