The ruling Polish Party of Law and Justice chose to overshadow the health and safety of citizens. Thus, despite the raging coronavirus, the presidential elections will be held on May 10.
This is reported by the Polish radio station “RMF”.
According to the available information, a high-profile bill regulating “voting in absentia” will be proposed for consideration of the parliament on Friday, March 3. Thus, elections in Poland will be held with closed polling stations and voting by mail.
The reasons for this scandalous plan are understandable. Under normal circumstances, the chances of re-election of the current president Andrzej Duda are extremely small, but the so-called “epidemiological situation” regime, introduced in Poland, gives a lot of advantages to the ruling elites, headed by Jaroslav Kaczynski.
Now Duda’s opponents are deprived of the opportunity to conduct full-fledged campaigning. Together with their potential voters, they are closed at home. The only thing left to candidates is the Internet, but this platform is not enough.
Duda, in turn, does not experience such a deficit. He has at his disposal not only state media, but also electronic media belonging to the corporation of priest Tadeusz Ridzik, who is close to the Right and Justice Party. In addition, Duda is not limited to quarantine and holds meetings throughout the country every day, creating an image of an experienced fighter against the epidemic.
