Even the oil ultimatum of Alexander Lukashenko has not weakened the allied relations between Minsk and Moscow.

In Poland, they are disappointed: Lukashenko cannot be quarreled with the Kremlin in any way

This was told by an expert of the Center for Oriental Studies Kamil Klysinsky in a commentary to Polish Radio.

“Neither coronavirus nor oil disputes can seriously harm the military alliance between Moscow and Minsk. Russia is the only strategic military partner of Belarus and, of course, plays a leading role in bilateral relations, ” said the Polish expert.

At the same time, he lamented the way the Belarusian authorities react to the military maneuvers of the North Atlantic Alliance. So, on March 23, the Belarusian army launched its own exercises in response to NATO actions, involving about 6 thousand troops and 200 pieces of military equipment.

“Fracture is not observed. Of course, Belarus’s steps cannot be called aggression, but they clearly demonstrate distrust of NATO. When Minsk responds with its own maneuvers of the alliance, such a move is not friendly, ”Klynsinsky continues.

As News Front reported, earlier Alexander Lukashenko demanded to “weave” NATO’s opposition into the ordinary activities of the army. The head of the republic stressed that the response “should not look like a rattling of weapons.”
