The US is ready to test a vaccine against COVID-19 - experimental found among European "partners"

This was announced by the head of the Romanian Society of Microbiology and the country’s representative in the World Health Organization, Alexander Rafila.

The first batch of vaccines will arrive in Romania in the near future. At the same time, Rafila called the good news that the citizens of his country will become experimental for American specialists.

“When the tests are over, the United States government will have enough reason to approve the production and sale,” said the representative of Romania at WHO, who was confident that the tests would be successful.

As News Front previously reported, Romanian authorities announced large-scale quarantine on March 25. A month after the first infected person was found in the country, the number of infected people already exceeded one thousand.

The first cases of new coronavirus infection were reported in China at the end of last year. Now the disease has acquired pandemic status. COVID-19 affects the alveoli of the lungs. Its key symptoms are fever, which can not be reduced with standard drugs, as well as dry cough and breathing problems.

It is important to note that older people are at risk. Due to weakened immunity, their body is not able to withstand the virus. At the same time, only 5% of those infected have a severe illness. 15% – faced with the need for hospitalization. In 80%, the disease proceeds in a mild form resembling a common cold.
