Numerous violations revealed in the work of the FBI: US Department of Justice

This was reported in the memorandum of the inspector general of the US Department of Justice Michael Horowitz.

“Based on the results of our audit, we have so far come to the conclusion that we are not sure that the FBI has carried out foreign intelligence surveillance procedures in accordance with the agency’s policy,” the document says.

In particular, the Ministry of Justice noted that they could not get access to a number of applications for conducting surveillance, since in some cases the FBI officers could not find them, and in some they were not at all sure that such documents ever existed.
