In the Ternopil region, vandals are being sought for damage to the monument to the soldier of World War II. They are charged with abuse of the grave.

In the village of Nyrkov, Ternopil region, police noticed that the head and part of the arm disappeared at the monument to the unknown soldier of the Second World War, although on March 25 the pedestal was in order.
“On March 30, employees of the Zaleshchytska police department received a message that a monument to an unknown soldier was damaged at the entrance to the village of Nyrkov. Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered part of the destroyed monument, namely, the severed head and part of the arm. There were fragments of concrete construction on the ground, ” the national police said.
No witnesses to the incident. It is worth noting that in relation to the wanted vandals, criminal proceedings were instituted in accordance with part 2 of Article 277 of the Criminal Code – abuse of the grave or body of the deceased. Now, bullies are threatened with restriction or imprisonment for a term of three to five years.
